However, if you want to be effective in whatever role you have, it is necessary to reach forward and backwards no matter your level of expertise.

Reach backwards to get help from those who have traveled the path you are on and have navigated the pitfalls that you can avoid. Reach forward to help others that may be attempting to go where you have been and share your insights for their benefit and success.

We are only as good as weakest link, be it our lack of helping others or our failure to accept help.
